SEMARANG – Ketua Yayasan Borobudur Marathon (BorMar) Liem Chien An menyebut bahwa penyelenggaraan BorMart 2019, pada 17 November mendatang dengan start di Taman Lumbini Candi Borobudur, sudah berkelas dunia.

Realitas tersebut sudah ditunjukkan dengan tata cara pendaftaran peserta yang menggunakan sistem ballot (undian). Sistem ballot adalah prosedur pendaftaran yang digunakan dalam banyak marathon besar di seluruh dunia untuk mendapatkan kesempatan menjadi peserta (slot).

‘’Kita jangan bicara dulu soal World Marathon Majors, karena itu sudah jadi brand. Tapi kalau BorMar 2019 sudah kelas dunia, saya katakan ya. Peserta sudah mendunia, dan cara pendaftaran peserta pun sudah ikut maratahon dunia yaitu ballot,’’ kata Chie An saat dihubungi Minggu (13/10).

Menurut dia,  sistem ballot membuat pendaftaran sangat fair. Tidak ada lagi peserta yang kecewa karena terlambat mendaftar atau merasa gagal mendaftar lantaran jaringan online yang ngadat.

Hal senada disampaikan Panitia Pelaksana Lukminto Wibowo. Dia mengatakan bahwa BorMar 2019 sudah berkelas dunia karena sudah memenuhi standar marathon dunia.

Dijelaskan Luki—sapaan akrabnya—standar tersebut meliputi sistem pendaftaraan, adanya race director yang bersertifikat, race yang dilalui , peserta yang internasional hingga keberadaan broadcasting.

Mengedukasi

Dia menjelaskan bahwa tim BorMar 2019 akan mengumpulkan seluruh komunitas runner di FX Senayan, awal November.

‘’Kami akan sosialisasikan BorMar 2019 kepada runners di Tanah Air. Bukan saja mengenalkan lomba lari ini, tapi kami mengadakan training, workshop untuk mengedukasi kepada pelari tentang apa yang perlu dipersiapkan ketika mengikuti lomba lari,’’ tambahnya.

Menurutnya, tidak semua pelari paham yang harus dilakukan sebelum berlari, khususnya untuk jarak jauh. Adanya pelari yang sesak nafas dan jatuh pingsan adalah indikasi belum pahamnya pelari tentang persiapan fisik.

‘’Kami akan mendatangkan ahlinya dalam sosialisasi BorMar itu. Ada trainer yang bisa menjelaskan tentang cara berlari yang benar,’’ pungkasnya.(Suarabaru.id/tim)
