SEMARANG (SB.id) – Target 2.000 peserta lomba lari Semarang 10K Tahun 2019 yang akan berlangsung 15 Desember mendatang, akhirnya terpenuhi. Pihak panitia pun sudah menutup pendaftaran even lari yang mengambil start dari Balaikota Semarang tersebut.
”Kuota peserta sudah terpenuhi. Ada sekitar 1.700 peserta umum, slot pelajar dan PASI sebanyak 100, selebihnya relasi dan VIP. Jadi ada 2.000-an peserta yang memang menjadi target kami,” kata Project Manager Semarang 10K Budhi Sarwiadi saat dihubungi, Minggu (24/11) malam.
Menurut Budi, peserta Semarang 10K berasal dari berbagai pelari di penjuru Tanah Air. Selain dari Jawa Tengah, para atlet berasal Jabodetabek, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, dan Solo.
Semarang 10K, kata dia, juga diikuti peserta dari luar negeri sekitar 10-15 pelari, yaitu Kenya, Nigeria, dan Malaysia.
Ditambahkan Budhi, dibanding tahun 2018, rute Semarang 10K tahun melewati destinasi wisata dan tempat-tempat bersejarah di Kota Lama Semarang. Tahun lalu, Kota Lama tak dilewati karena masih perbaikan.

Adapun rutenya Balaikota-Jalan Pemuda-Pandanaran-Simpang Lima-Mataram-Bubakan-Kota Lama-Gereja Blenduk-Jembatan Berok-Pemuda-Balikota.
”Start dimulai pukul 06.00 WIB. Untuk pengambilan racepack, dilakukan tanggal 13-14 Desember di Out de Trap,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu, pemegang sponsor utama Semarang 10K tahun 2018, Liem Chie An berharap, penyelenggaraan lomba tahun ini lebih meriah dan punya greget. Dia berharap, kelak event ini akan diakui sebagai event lari 10 K terbaik di Indonesia.
”Saya punya impian, Borobudur Marathon menjadi marathon nomor satu di Indonesia, demikian juga Semarang 10K, menjadi lomba lari nomor satu di Tanah Air,” kata Ketua Yayasan Borobudur Marathon tersebut.
