SEMARANG – PSIS Semarang berencana menggelar laga uji coba dalam jeda kompetisi Liga 1 musim ini dengan melawan klub asal Liga 3, PSD Demak, di Stadion Gemilang Kabupaten Magelang, Rabu (5/9). General Manager PSIS Wahyu ”Liluk” Winarto memanggil dua pemain PSIS U-19 yang didaftarkan untuk mengisi slot pemain U-23 di tim senior saat melawan PSD. Mereka adalah Aqsa Saniskara dan Agung Fendy.
Khusus untuk Agung, pemain ini sudah rutin berlatih dengan tim senior. Adapun Aqsa dalam beberapa pekan terakhir fokus memperkuat PSIS U-19 bersama Eka Febri, satu pemain lagi yang sebelumnya didaftarkan mengisi slot U-23 di Liga 1. ”Kami memanggil Aqsa karena ada tiga bek sayap Safrudin Tahar, Akbar Riansyah, dan Frendi Saputra cedera sehingga kami ingin mengisi kekosongan tersebut. Pelatih juga ingin melihat potensi pemain ini saat berkolaborasi dengan para seniornya,” ungkap Liluk.
Pemain asal PSIS U-19 memang mendapat perhatian dari head coach Jafri Sastra. Semisal Agung yang dipercaya menjadi striker utama PSIS sejak menit awal saat sparring melawan PSS Sleman di Maguwoharjo International Stadium, 26 Agustus lalu. ”Laga latih tanding penting, karena pemain membutuhkan chemistry di lapangan dengan strategi pelatih yang baru. Memang risiko cedera itu selalu ada dalam momen seperti ini. Namun, hal itu harus dihadapi. Kemungkinan kami juga masih akan mengadakan satu laga uji coba lagi sebelum ke Medan,” imbuh Liluk.
Pertandingan ini menjadi kesempatan kedua Jafri dalam menukangi PSIS pada kurun waktu setengah bulan. Sebelumnya, PSIS melakoni laga uji coba ke markas PSS dan harus kalah dengan skor 0-2 dari klub Liga 2 tersebut. ”Laga uji coba melawan PSD ini sudah diprogramkan manajemen klub dan pada intinya akan saya gunakan untuk melihat progres taktik yang saya berikan dalam beberapa hari ini di Magelang.
