YOGYAKARTA (SUARABARU.ID) – by.U kembali menggelar seri pertandingan futsal antar pelajar bergengsi tingkat nasional di wilayah Jawa Tengah & DIY, antara lain Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Tegal dan Purwokerto pada periode September hingga Oktober 2024.
Piala by.U adalah sebuah ajang pertandingan futsal terbesar tingkat SMP dan SMA berskala nasional yang diadakan oleh by.U untuk mendorong kemajuan dan prestasi positif di bidang olahraga.
GM Mobile Segment GTM Area Jawa Bali, Andrew Mamahit, mengatakan, tahun ini Piala by.U hadir di 9 provinsi, dengan total 19 lokasi penyelenggaraan di seluruh Indonesia yang melibatkan hingga 912 sekolah di 82 kota/kabupaten dan diikuti oleh 10.944 siswa SMP dan SMA.
“Tidak hanya pertandingan futsal, di piala by.U 2024 juga ada bazaar UMKM, exhibition match all star dan berbagai games menarik lainnya,” katanya dalam keterangan persnya, Kamis 12 September 2024.
Piala by.U tidak hanya fokus pada penyelenggaraan turnamen futsal antar sekolah, tetapi juga memberikan pembekalan dan edukasi kepada para peserta melalui coaching clinic yang diberikan para pelatih futsal profesional.
“Piala by.U ini merupakan bentuk perhatian Telkomsel kepada anak muda, karena by.U merupakan produk yang di design untuk anak muda,” katanya.
Andrew juga menambahkan, Kota Jogja merupakan kota pertama setelah sebelumnya by.U menyelenggarakan acara serupa di Jawa Timur.
“Kenapa memilih Jogja, karena saya yakin ada talenta-talenta muda dari Jogja yang akan keluar sebagai juara di Piala by.U ini. Mari kita bertanding secara sportif dan semangat sampai akhir, ingat pertandingan selesai ketika peluit wasit berbunyi, artinya kita tidak boleh menyerah sampai akhir,” katanya.
Untuk membawa Piala by.U ke level yang lebih tinggi, by.U juga menggandeng Pendekar United. Di mana setiap penyelenggaraan Piala by.U akan hadir scouting talent yang bertugas melihat skill individu pemain maupun tim guna mencari bibit pemain muda yang terampil untuk dapat mengikuti training camp bersama Pendekar United.
