SEMARANG – Kesempatan PSIS Semarang menjajal kualitas Madura United (MU) yang merupakan peringkat kelima Liga 1 musim lalu akan dijadikan sebagai ajang pengemblengan mental pemain muda di skuad asuhan Subangkit. Apalagi laga uji coba ini digelar di Stadion Ratu Pamelingan Pamekasan, Minggu (11/3).
Selama ini pemain muda PSIS masih minim menit bermain. Sebut saja tiga pemain yang masuk kuota U-23, Gustur Cahyo, M Syukron dan Erik Dwi. Selain itu, ada lima pemain magang Laskar Mahesa Jenar yang diproyeksikan untuk mengisi empat slot tersisa pada kategori pemain U-23, yakni Albi Lanju, Tegar Infantri, M Hidayatullah, Jazzil El Wafa dan Satriawan Eka (kiper).
”Bermain melawan tim kuat Liga 1 di luar Kota Semarang atau jauh dari pendukung setia kami akan menggembleng mental para pemain muda. Lawan MU menjadi uji nyali yang pas bagi mereka,” kata General Manager PSIS Wahyu ”Liluk” Winarto, kemarin. Liluk menilai pemain muda yang dimiliki punya potensi untuk tampil sebagai pengganti.
